Four-time mayor of Washington D.C., Marion Barry, Jr. recently published his autobiography, “Mayor for Life: The Incredible Story of Marion Barry, Jr.,” co-written with author and 246 graduate Omar Tyree.

The biography, from Strebor Books, takes readers from Marion Barry’s youth  in the cotton fields in Mississippi through to his stints as Washington D.C. mayor and city councilman, including the mayor’s infamous legal drama stemming from his crack-smoking on hidden camera.
