Dear High, Dear Central High,
You can’t help but sing the school song as you read those special words.
Hopefully, hearing those lyrics transports you back to a fond memory from when you were among friends, classmates, or your favorite faculty members.
This year, some of the most special moments weren’t just at big events. They happened in meaningful ways during the school day. From the casual conversations with an alumnus in the 189th who celebrated his centennial birthday, to students rehearsing a cultural dance, theatrical performance, or pep squad learning stunts in the hallway.
We are grateful to all of you who have made a gift so that these special moments can continue to hold a special place for Lancers.
Through your contributions and the $50,000 match from Dr. John T. Williams, Sr. (194), we have raised over $240,000 for current Lancers.
With so many worthy causes to support, we thank you for including Dear High in your consideration. Your support helps fund the special ways that connect and inspire our community and makes meaningful difference in areas including:
Best of all, we cherish singing the school song proudly in assemblies, reunions, alumni events, or while vacationing in places from the shore to Machu Picchu (early ties to the discovery of its existence were made possible through alumnus Albert Giasecke, 107.)
If you haven’t had a chance to give yet, please consider making your tax-deductible donation today as we continue to sing the praises of the crimson and the gold.

Celebrate Central. Cherish Central. Choose Central.
___________
Every day, we are reminded why Central is more than a school—it’s home.
This year’s Turkey Bowl victory was more than a win. Led by Coach Rich Drayton (246), the Lancers football team demonstrated the same spirit on the field that we see at Central every single day. Their success was the result of hard work, determination, and the kind of grit that’s built day after day.
Lancers bring that same energy and enthusiasm to every part of “the Central experience,” especially when they welcome alumni back to school.
Students light up when alumni visit, eagerly soaking up their stories and wisdom. Their excitement mirrors the inspiration and guidance your journey provides to future Lancers.
