PROJECT

Central High is currently embarking on an ambitious Capital Campaign to enhance the facilities and provide even more opportunities for students. Tens of millions have been raised and pledged for the larger portion of the project which includes building a new STEM Innovation Center, Digital Media and Technology Center, Performing Arts Center, and more.   The first phase of the project, turning the blacktop into a real parking lot, is complete.   You can learn more about the project here

Central has outstanding students and faculty with programs and opportunities that rival any suburban public high school.  If you have been to Central recently, you know that the school is as dynamic and diverse as ever.  However, the facilities overall remain inadequate.

Our fundraising committee for 242 aims to contribute to this effort as a way to  honor our time at Central, and what it meant to us — not just as a group of guys who laughed a lot and made lifelong friends, but also in appreciation for how Central shaped us as good people and to pay it forward to future generations of Central students.  Together we have pledged _____ to the effort.

Our goal is to raise at least $24,200, with hopes of surpassing this amount.  Depending on the success of this campaign, we can engage in discussions with the Association about potential recognition opportunities when the new addition is built.   This will be the first time we have made a gift as a class since we planted a tree in front of the school (which is still there, with a plaque on the building nearby commemorating our gift).
