The next chapter starts now for Central High School. The Leading the Way Campaign will transform the school’s campus, create new opportunities for students, and build on nearly 200 years of academic excellence. Help shape the future of Central for generations to come. Read this case statement to learn more about how you can help lead the way.
Fall is a special time at Central High School, filled with opportunities to return, reconnect, and celebrate the traditions that bring the AACHS community together. Whether it’s participating in Career Day, attending the Victory Breakfast, or cheering on reigning champion Lancers at the annual Turkey Bowl, there is always a reason to come back to Central and remain connected.
As Central approaches its bicentennial in 2036, we have an extraordinary opportunity to build upon what comes next.
Through the Leading the Way Campaign, we are working to increase the footprint of Central’s campus. A new Academic and Performing Arts Center will provide modern learning spaces while freeing up much-needed room in the historic building for school-based resources and curriculum for Lancers today.
This campaign is about more than a new building. It’s about strengthening the entire school, expanding opportunities for youth in Philadelphia while preserving access to a high-quality, tuition-free public education that sets Central apart from many private and suburban schools.
Whether you’re a proud Central graduate or parent (or perhaps, both), a member of the Philadelphia community, or advocate for education, there is a place for you in this effort.
We invite you to help lead the way. Together, let’s invest in the future of Central High School.
There are so many meaningful ways to be involved beyond making a gift. Whether you share your time, your connections, or your enthusiasm for Central, your involvement makes a difference. If you’d like to learn more or find your place in this effort, simply reply to this email. I’d love to connect.
Central’s story began in 1836. Together, we can help write its next chapter.
Thank you for being part of the Central High community and believing in its future.
