Retired Central teacher Robert Farber has continued his commitment to education with the publication earlier this year of his second book, “Farber’s Postulates of Education.”
Mr. Farber, a teacher for more than 45 years at the levels of middle school through college, says on his Amazon.com page: “The purpose of this book is to introduce you to the American education system as it exists, not to change it. … One should never take life too seriously. This is especially true for the professional educator. This book is written in this spirit. It is meant to be humorous and informative. It is not a criticism of education but a practical guide how to survive within the system and keep your sanity.”
In addition to teacher, Mr. Farber was chairman of Central High School Science Fair from 1999 to 2012. He continues to serve as an adjunct professor at Community College of Philadelphia.
