The Associated Alumni of Central High School would like to congratulate Central President Timothy J. McKenna for receiving the coveted Martin L. Glassman Commitment to Education Award from the Schoolmen’s Club of Philadelphia. The award was given to President McKenna during the organization’s Annual Awards and Holiday Dinner in December, 2018.

“I’m honored to be recognized by my peers for the work I’ve accomplished over my 23-year career in education,” said President McKenna. “As a lifelong Philadelphian, I’m proud to lead Central High School, an historic education institution in our city.”

The Schoolmen’s Club of Philadelphia dates back to 1902 and its mission is to promote the social and professional aspects of educational life in the city of Philadelphia and to aid in the betterment of educational conditions. The Schoolmen’s Club has a rich history of service to educators and children in Philadelphia.
