The Central / Northeast rivalry game has been a Thanksgiving Day mainstay since 1892, and for every year since 1896. The only exceptions – 1918, and 2020.
Like 1918, our nation is in the midst of a global pandemic. Indeed, the entire 2020 Public League football season was cancelled as a result of the public health emergency which has changed our lives considerably since this past March.
AACHS Archivist and Historian David Kahn (220) visited Charles Martin Memorial Stadium at Northeast High School to share a message with all of us about the history of the game, and the importance of staying engaged with Central particularly at this challenging time.
A generous donor has agreed to match all contributions, up to a total of $50,000 on Giving Tuesday this year, December 1st. That means that your contribution can have DOUBLE the impact for the students of Central High School.
While we can’t be together this Thanksgiving, let’s come together on Giving Tuesday, December 1st, to support Dear High. Visit CentralHighAlumni.com/givinghome on December 1st to make your contribution to AACHS.
