Troy Hughes Memorial Fund
Troy Hughes died on April 22, 2020 as a result of complications of COVID-19 virus. Although his life was short-lived, he lived it to the fullest and positively impacted the lives of people he touched. He was a proud member of the Class of 246 where he was a track and field and football athlete. Troy was the epitome of a social worker – it was in his DNA. He connected with people from all walks of life, making them feel special which was Troy’s specific purpose in the world. Troy was high energy ALL the time – he made you laugh and smile, he was genuine, he made friends EVERYWHERE he went, he gave unselfishly, and he was always upbeat and positive.
Troy always believed in “paying it forward” – “If I am showing you kindness, show kindness to someone else”. The money raised will go towards creation of the Troy Hughes Memorial Scholarship which will serve as an opportunity to keep Troy’s legacy alive and to support a Central High School student who demonstrates those qualities we loved about Troy. Your donation will make a lasting impact and will touch the life of a deserving student – it is a priceless way to honor Troy Hughes.
May we honor Troy’s legacy and take the next generation of students to greater success through the Troy Hughes Memorial Fund. Thank you for your support!
