You may want to read a lovely tribute in the Intelligencer of Bucks and Montgomery counties paid to Central alumnus, businessman and philanthropist Herman Silverman (168), who died Wednesday at age 97.

Among many friends quoted in the article describing Herman’s selfless deeds is Richard Reif, a former CEO of Doylestown Hospital. He told the newspaper: “Herman always chose to do the right thing, to benefit as many as possible, particularly the disadvantaged and marginalized. He always treated everyone with great respect and integrity, never being judgmental,” he added.
