Peter Chong, Kristen Joseph, Miguel Lugo, and Johann Otero-Avellaneda of the 277th class requested a bus shelter at a prominent location at the end of the school walkway to support nearly 250 students on a daily basis during their senior year in Ms. Galeet Cohen’s (256) AP Environmental Science. That bus shelter now exists on the SW corner of Ogontz and Olney Avenues, sheltering eastbound students as they wait for the 18/26 buses.
We have an exciting and unique opportunity to customize the ad space with CHS student-created artwork that includes a vinyl wrap and backlit posters. The space will be a celebration of Central’s diversity and talent, featuring poetry from Central’s three arts publications (Mirror, Mosaic, and Afrocentric) and visual art from a design competition.
If you’ve stood unsheltered at Ogontz & Olney during any of the past 82 years, please consider making a donation in support of an enhanced experience for current and future students. Thank you.
