AACHS is excited to announce a truly generous and meaningful matching gift opportunity from Dr. John Williams Sr. 194th Class.

Dr. Williams is committed to matching all donations this Giving Tuesday up to $50,000 to support our school’s continued growth—and he’s encouraging all of us to follow his lead.

Dr. Williams gift will be to support the Leading the Way Capital Campaign. The campaign aims to support the school’s critical infrastructure, enhance educational programs, and provide students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in today’s society in meaningful ways.

“It is critical that the students today and, in the future, have the opportunities we had. The facilities, the resources, and the education that Central provides will prepare them to become the leaders of tomorrow. That’s why I’m giving back now—and why I’m asking you to consider doing the same.”

The AACHS strives to make an impact on student success and consistently works closely with our educators to support educational initiatives at Central High School.

This would be impossible without the continued commitment from amazing donors like you.

Spread the word and get your classmates and friends to join you in supporting the AACHS this year.

Thank you!

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving where millions of people join forces to collectively contribute to a cause they believe in. You can be a part of this incredible day by donating to the AACHS to help us provide today’s Central students with the tools they need to become the leaders of tomorrow.

Please consider making your tax-deductible gift, and join us as we
Celebrate Central. Cherish Central. Choose Central.

The Capital Campaign
Central is preparing for a major campus expansion that includes a new building designed to provide much-needed space. This will ensure that future students are no longer cramped in overcrowded hallways and classrooms, and that they have the facilities they need to learn, grow, and lead.

 The Bridge Program
This program helps incoming freshmen adjust to Central life by pairing them with older student mentors, offering club meetings, and creating a strong, supportive foundation from day one. Your gift helps new Lancers find their footing and feel at home.

The Annual Giving Fund
The annual giving fund powers community-building events such as Career Day, Hall of Fame Inductions, and the Annual Reception. These meaningful programs create connections between alumni and current students, foster mentorship, and strengthen the Lancer community across generations.

 The Scholarship Fund
We offer more than 205 scholarships which give financial assistance to our seniors each year to help offset college costs. Your generosity can open doors for students who have worked hard and need support to take their next steps.

Student Activities Fund

AACHS helps support clubs, sports teams, dances and field trips. In our world language courses students have an option to go abroad and experience the culture. These funds also support new student activities that likely would otherwise not be unable to form

A Student Perspective:

Dear Central Alumni,

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope this season finds you happy and enjoying time with loved ones.

My name is Emma G. (285) and I’m a current senior at Central High School. As GivingTuesday approaches, I want to share what Central means to me and why your support matters so much.

Being a Lancer is something I’m proud of every day. I love representing Central as captain of the field hockey team and the softball team, as a member of the student association cabinet, treasurer of Jewish Student Union and as the editor-in-chief of the Yearbook.

I’m grateful for the friends and community I’ve found here. One of my favorite experiences has been working with the Alumni Office, which has given me the chance to meet and network with so many Lancers who came before me. Hearing your stories and seeing the paths you’ve taken inspires me and reminds my peers and me of the bond that exists for Central graduates.

GivingTuesday is an especially meaningful time to give—thanks to Dr. John T. Williams, Sr. (194) every donation will be matched up to $50,000! During the tour him and his family took when a dedication ceremony was held in his honor for his contributions, I was in awe of learning about his incredible career and the path he has taken, which I found truly inspiring. As I think about my own future in the medical field as a clinical psychologist, I recognize that Central continues to shape us into leaders, teammates, critical thinkers and independent voices.

Central is already such a wonderful place to learn everyday and with some improvements students like me can benefit from the resources and opportunities that can help Central.

Central continues to shape us into leaders, teammates, critical thinkers and independent voices. With your help, we can make Central an even better place to learn and grow.

Your GivingTuesday support doesn’t just help students like me, it helps every student who will come after us. It ensures that future Lancers walk into a school where they have the space, resources, and opportunities they deserve. That is incredibly meaningful to all of us.

Thank you for believing in Central. Thank you for investing in our future.

Emma G. (285)
